The New Jersey Clean Cities Coalition (NJCCC) recently hosted its Annual Meeting during the League of Municipalities, bringing together a dynamic group of advocates committed to advancing clean, sustainable, and equitable transportation solutions across New Jersey. The event served as a vital platform for collaboration, innovation, and progress in clean energy and transportation initiatives.
The NJCCC extends heartfelt gratitude to its sponsors—Atlantic County Utility Authority (ACUA), Port Authority of NY & NJ, and Fill It Up Clean—whose generous support made this event possible. Their unwavering commitment to advancing clean fuels and technologies is instrumental in fostering cleaner air and a more sustainable future for New Jersey.
Highlighting the meeting was a keynote presentation by Matthew DeNafo, President of the ACUA. Mr. DeNafo delivered an inspiring address on the transformative potential of clean energy and transportation. His insights, spanning wind energy, wastewater management, solar power, and compressed natural gas (CNG) technology, showcased the innovative strides being made under his leadership.
The Annual Meeting also celebrated outstanding contributions to clean transportation through the presentation of the Clean Transportation Awards:
-
Port Authority of NY & NJ: Annual Impact Award for measurable achievements in reducing emissions and displacing fossil diesel.
-
WM: Corporate Award for their exceptional commitment to clean air through advanced vehicles and renewable fuels.
-
Pete Morano: Trailblazer Award for his pioneering efforts in advancing alternative fuel solutions across New Jersey.
-
Isles: Corporate Engagement Award for connecting the Trenton community through the innovative GoTrenton project.
-
